About Us
I believe therapy is a brave act of self-discovery, and it’s a journey best taken in a space where you feel completely safe and supported. My commitment is to build a genuine, trusting bond with you, where you can show up exactly as you are—authentic, vulnerable, and real. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and our work will be guided by your inner wisdom and personal goals, every step of the way.
At Reflective Minds Therapy, I help clients understand thought patterns and emotional responses to feel grounded, clear, and capable of handling life challenges. Together, we focus on building awareness, strengthening coping skills,
and developing healthier ways to respond to thoughts and emotions with intention and confidence. My approach is collaborative and tailored to meet you where you are. Over time, many clients notice greater mental clarity, improved emotional regulation, stronger self-trust, and increased confidence.
I am a certified therapy dog handler, and my co-therapist, Chloe, often joins sessions to offer warmth and comfort. Together, we cultivate a space for authentic healing and self-discovery, helping you move through life with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience. I would be honored to walk alongside you during this journey.
Meet Ashley M. Jacoby, MS, LMHC
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, my path into the field of mental health began long before graduate school. I started my educational journey studying psychology, but my passion for understanding people, their resilience, their pain, and their growth was always deeper than textbooks.
As a lifelong athlete, I attended Roosevelt University where I played collegiate softball before transferring to the University of North Florida to complete my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Craving growth and new experiences, I immersed myself not only academically, but culturally; studying abroad in Jamaica and working alongside special education teachers to integrate Applied Behavior Analysis into their classrooms. That experience solidified my commitment to meaningful, hands-on work in mental health.
Before becoming a Licensed therapist, I worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician, supporting individuals with diverse needs. I later earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, where I gained experience running psychosocial rehabilitation groups for individuals navigating a wide range of mental health conditions. Since then, I have continued my work in private practice, supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
But my reason for becoming a therapist is personal – Therapy saved my life.
I know what it feels like to sit in some of the darkest, loneliest places internally and not know how to find your way out. I became a therapist because I wanted to be the person I once needed, someone who sees the pain beneath the surface, who understands that strength and struggle can coexist, and who believes healing is possible even when it feels far away.
If I can help even one person feel less alone in their battles, less ashamed of their thoughts, or more hopeful about their future, then I am exactly where I am meant to be.
My approach is warm, grounded, and insight-oriented. I believe in creating a space that feels safe enough for honesty and steady enough for growth. You do not have to face your darkest moments alone.
